  “Broooooooo.” Slater groaned. “I know sex is new to you, but they have rules about that sort of thing in public.”

  Jillian laughed and pulled away. “He’s right, even though I wish I could strip—”

  “Yeah, I’m just gonna go hang out with my girlfriend now. And tell her all the dirty things I’m going to do to that tight—”

  “Finish that sentence and find out what happens,” Finn growled.

  “Hey, it worked. The mist of lust is out of your eyes. Welcome back, brother, welcome back. All right, so drinks are on Finn!”

  I laughed and rolled my eyes as my friends all ordered shots.

  And because we were celebrating.

  We stayed out a bit too late.

  So, I found myself at Jillian’s apartment again.

  “You listened.” I dropped her dress to her feet.

  We were sloppy.

  And just in time for Princess to run into the room barking, while Jillian closed her eyes and mumbled, “Not it.”

  I stared down at her sleeping form and whispered, “I’m going to marry you someday.”

  And knew that it was a promise I was going to keep.
